Whiskey Ridge Rescue will consider adoptive families in and around Central Missouri. This is simply due to logistics and distance of travel for our volunteers. Our goal is to make the best rescue match taking into consideration the animal's background and your family's needs. Every animal is different: personality, temperament, energy, comfort with kids and other animals, medical needs and more. We take all these factors into consideration when making a forever-home match. We are very careful about the placements we make. Whether you are looking for your next trail riding partner, a pasture companion or a pup to hang out on the couch with you, we will do our best to match the right animal with the right adoptive home because we want this to be the permanent home.
We appreciate you wanting to bring another critter into your life! We can help you find your next equine, dog or cat! In order for us to find the right animal for you, we need you to submit an adoption application.
We will review your application upon receipt. If we have any questions or concerns, we will contact you for clarity. Please DO NOT show up at the rescue without an approved application and appointment set. This is our home where the kid's safety is a priority.
Once approved to adopt, the search for your animal begins. Volunteers will begin to evaluate options currently in our program who may be a good fit for you and your family. We would also be open to discussing animals in our care that you are specifically interested in.
